ExperienceI earned my B.S. in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University before moving to New York City to continue studying psychology. I then earned an M.A. in Psychology at Pace University as well as a Master of Philosophy in Educational Psychology at The Graduate Center of City University of New York. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Psychology with a Quantitative Methods concentration. I study statistics in psychological research.My teaching experience includes teaching college classes, both graduate and undergraduate, in education and psychology. The primary college class that I taught involved teaching statistics application and theory as well as the SPSS program. I also have assisted clients in several fields as a consultant. These projects included collection and processing of data, designing studies, interpretation and analysis, and reports of findings. I have also assisted students in graduate-level programs with the analysis of dissertations, as well as providing tutoring to students in advanced statistics courses.I have studied various quantitative methodology, including Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), General Linear Modeling (GLM), Hierarchical Linear Modeling (HLM), Bayesian Statistics, and Meta-Analysis. I am also experienced with a variety of analytic programs. These programs include M-Plus, SPSS, R, HLM, WinBugs, and Lisrel.My research has investigated the appropriate quantitative methods to analyze data on the effectiveness of using video games as a tool in education. This allows me to combine the passions of my work and my love of gaming.In addition to video gaming, I also love animals, volunteering to rescue animals, art, baseball, and college basketball.
