Education

I am currently pursuing a Double Major in Chinese and Theater at George Mason University. This year I will be a senior, with a 3.6 GPA. I also recently completed a one year program at the Beijing Language and Culture University in Beijing, China. I graduated from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in 2009 with a 3.7 GPA.

Experience

I taught English in China for one year. I specialize in beginning phonics, reading, writing and comprehension. I have a lot of experience working with children ages 5-11. I also have experience tutoring adults on various subjects, especially film studies and current events. For the past four years I have worked for a party company called "Princess Parties by Heidi". I play Princess Belle, which requires me to go to birthday parties as a character. I sing, play games, tell stories, and make every birthday a magical experience. This has taught me to have extreme patience and understanding when dealing with children, and to approach every new experience with poise, grace, and a sense of fun! To hone my public speaking skills, I work as a tour guide for Washington DC Ghost Tours. I lead groups of up to 35 tourists through the haunted history of Washington DC. Hobbies

I love to read, write and draw. I am currently working on a children's book series written and illustrated by me. I also sing, play the piano, paint, and bake. The more creative my hobbies are, the happier I am. I love all things Disney, and have successfully used Disney songs, movies and stories to help teach English to Chinese children in the past.
